Everyday Drawing (April-Sept.2020 Calendar)
2020
Gouache, watercolor, colored pencil, crayon, sharpie, marker, cardboard, paper printout photocopies, tape, lighting gel, flower magazine cutouts, pencil, and ink on paper
36x12"

Grid calendar Everyday Drawings are an ongoing series. When I get to my studio, with a diagonal mark, I cross out the day or days that have passed since I was last there. I am interested in line being an active mark - tracking, negating (crossing-out), checking-off something (so it shows an accomplishment), accumulating (so it creates depth or shadow), timekeeping (tickmarks), beyond.
